About This Series

These slide decks accompany the Applied Statistics for AI & Clinical Decision-Making blog series at Data InDeed.

Each lecture covers three thematically connected posts, designed for a 45–55 minute lecture session. All slides include:

  • Speaker notes for video recording
  • R code chunks — live-executable or rendered
  • Clinical application boxes grounding every concept in trauma/registry analytics
  • “Coming up” slides linking to the next lecture

Summer 2026 Production Plan

Phase 1 (Stats Series): Lectures 01–10 · ~8.5 hours total instruction

Phase 2 (Advanced Statistics): 8 lectures covering the Advanced Stats series

Phase 3 (Design of Experiments): 6 lectures covering the DOE series

Each phase builds on the last — the three series together constitute a graduate-level applied statistics curriculum grounded in trauma systems and clinical AI.

How to Use These Slides

For video recording: 1. Open the .qmd in RStudio or VS Code 2. Render to RevealJS (quarto render lecture-XX.qmd) 3. Present in browser — use S key to open speaker view 4. Record with OBS (full screen) or Loom (window capture)

For participants: - Slides hosted at dataindeed.org/slides/stats/ - Each slide deck links back to the full blog post for deeper reading - R code is executable — follow along in your own session
